the gentleman you contact with in France

好象不是很正规，liaison 一般军方使用较多。
用 the monsieur contact with you 比较好 monsieur是法文里的先生的意思，一般英语国家的人都可以理解，或者直接用gentleman也可以

一般都用gentleman的,楼上的说法语法不对的
应该用the gentleman you had contact with in France

the person liaised with you in France

the person you contacted in France
